How can a CRCC help you?
Your local Commonwealth Respite and Carelink Centre (CRCC) will offer information, advice and support to you. The carer.
The role of the CRCC is to help keep caring relationships healthy and strong, that means ensuring that carers have the support that they need.
This support could come in the form of:
- Someone to talk to who can offer emotional support
- Short term respite or other emergency support
- Advice or referral to other providers who are best placed to help you to solve a problem
Each CRCC is focused on a specific region of Melbourne or Victoria, which means they have a good idea of the services and supports that are close to you.
Each CRCC operates a slightly different range of programs, these can include focusing on carers who are supporting someone who is frail or aging, a person with disability or a mental health condition or specific support for young carers.
